INVITATION FOR BIDS Request for sealed bids will be received until 3:00 p.m., September 23, 2026 at which time responses to this request will be recorded in the presence of one or more witnesses in the Procurement Services Department. A bid tabulation will be posted in the Procurement Portal after the bid opening. IFB #092326 Broad River Boat Landing Floating Dock Replacement A Pre-Bid conference will be held on September 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. virtually through Teams. This is a non-mandatory meeting; all interested firms are encouraged to attend. Email gmurray@bcgov.net for the Teams invitation. Submit any questions through the Procurement portal. Beaufort County reserves the right to reject companies' bids, proposals, and qualifications and to waive minor informalities and irregularities. Beaufort County posts all bid opportunities on the County website, www.beaufortcountysc.gov. Description
Beaufort County seeks a contractor to demolish and remove seven existing floating dock segments and install seven new aluminum floating dock segments at Broad River Boat Landing. Four segments will measure 20 feet by 8 feet and include aluminum pontoons, interior pile guides with HDPE rollers, and ground-out protection. Three additional 20-foot-by-8-foot segments will include aluminum pontoons, interior pile guides with HDPE rollers, and aluminum cleats at strategic intervals. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, mobilization, demobilization, permits, and services required for the work; follow ASCE MOP 130 marine-construction standards; and prepare and submit shop drawings for County Engineering approval before fabrication and installation. The work must begin within 10 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and be completed within 60 calendar days after that notice. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid, and the awarded contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds.
