Description
The Kentucky Historical Society, an agency of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, seeks qualified legal counsel to provide as-needed advice, consultation, document review, drafting and negotiation, regulatory and statutory compliance guidance, governance support, and representation in civil and administrative litigation. The scope includes contracts, grants, sponsorships, licenses, leases, procurement documents, employment matters, ethics, records, open-records and open-meetings requirements, accessibility, legislative matters, and related agency operations. The selected attorney or firm must maintain an active Kentucky law license and remain in good standing with the Kentucky Bar Association. Proposals must include separate technical and cost submissions. The cost proposal must provide hourly rates for partners, associates, and appellate cases, subject to stated maximum rates. The initial contract term is anticipated to run from November 20, 2026, through June 30, 2028, with up to two additional two-year renewal periods.
