The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking to license available space at the Quincy Mental Health Center, located at 460 Quincy Avenue, Quincy, Massachusetts. The available space includes approximately 4,100 sq. ft. on the first floor (currently a commercial kitchen, dish room, and dining room), approximately 14,760 sq. ft. on the second floor (partially used for an inpatient unit and crisis stabilization space), and approximately 20,400 sq. ft. on the third floor (previously used for outpatient programs and a community behavioral health center). The DMH aims to utilize this space to provide essential community mental health services, maximize acute service psychiatric inpatient beds for the adult community mental health population, and offer space for community groups promoting mental health and education. Licensees will be responsible for their own telecommunications, computer systems, and internal security, while DMH will provide basic security for common areas and building access. Licensees will also be responsible for paying a competitive monthly and annual fee based on fair market rental rates for similar medical office and clinical buildings in the Greater Boston Area. No funds will be provided for capital improvements.
