Description
The U.S. Marine Corps is conducting market research to identify manufacturers capable of producing over-the-calf combat boot socks for military personnel. The socks must provide cushioning, graduated compression, arch support, contoured fit, reinforced heel and toe areas, and a seamless or low-profile toe closure. The required product must contain at least 52% wool, 20% nylon, and 1% spandex, with no cotton or rayon. It must meet specified requirements for thickness, bursting strength, dimensional stability, elastic recovery, graduated compression, wicking, colorfastness, repeated laundering, pilling, fit, labeling, packaging, and product conformance. Respondents should demonstrate manufacturing capability and provide business size, socioeconomic status, applicable NAICS code, CAGE code, and any applicable GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract number. Samples may be requested for future evaluation. This is a sources-sought market-research notice only; no contract will be awarded from this announcement.
