Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contractor to replace approximately 43,008 square feet of flooring, 750 square feet of stair treads, and 9,610 linear feet of wall base across three facilities. Work includes demolition and disposal of existing materials; installation of carpet, luxury vinyl tile, resilient stair treads, and rubber wall base; subfloor preparation; and coordination of phased work in occupied healthcare and administrative buildings. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, project management, and related expertise. The scope includes asbestos surveying, testing, and abatement, with licensed and certified personnel, containment, monitoring, disposal, and compliance with applicable requirements. The period of performance is 160 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated construction magnitude is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. This is a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside; quotes are evaluated on price only. A bid bond is required with the quote, while performance and payment bonds are due after award. The prime contractor must comply with the stated limitations on subcontracting.
