Description
This solicitation is for the purchase of frozen pork loin roasts and frozen pork loin chops, center cut, boneless, for distribution through Federal Food and Nutrition Assistance Programs. The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has issued Supplement 304, which includes updates such as the addition of "FPPS - Pork Loin Roasts, Boneless, Frozen," a revised 'Best-If-Used-By' date for pork loin roast, a redefined domestic origin definition, and the addition of colored label language. Contractors must submit a technical proposal and samples for approval. The product must meet specific requirements outlined in the Federal Purchase Program Specification (FPPS), including domestic origin, humane handling during slaughter, specific fat and sodium content, and proper packaging and labeling.
