Description
This solicitation is for switchgear maintenance and emergency repair services for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) in Washington D.C. The contract will be a hybrid firm-fixed-price for routine preventative maintenance and time and material for emergency services. The period of performance will be one base year of 12 months and four 12-month option years. The BEP's facility utilizes General Electric (GE) 15kV distribution switchgear and other GE and Cutler Hammer distribution switchgear. Maintenance services for the 15kV switchgear are to be performed biennially, during the BEP's Year-End Shutdown (Y.E.S.) period or other agreed-upon timeframe. Maintenance for other switchgear will be planned and coordinated with the BEP. Emergency services are defined as on-demand support for unplanned events, with response times ranging from two to twelve hours depending on the nature of the request. Contractors must provide a quote for emergency services, including labor, parts, and a response fee, before work commences. New parts are required, but OEM refurbished or used parts may be acceptable if new parts are unavailable and approved by the COR. The contractor must also develop and implement a Quality Control Plan and provide personnel with appropriate security clearances.
