Description
Brookhaven Science Associates is seeking statements of interest and capabilities from contractors for a forthcoming solicitation covering the phased upgrade of Building 510's electrical substation. The work includes labor, supervision, materials other than Government Furnished Equipment, equipment, and services needed to remove two existing medium-voltage transformers, an oil switch, and distribution cabling, then install a new exterior substation with two Government Furnished Equipment medium-voltage transformers, pad-mounted switchgear, medium-voltage feeders, transformer and switchgear pads, grounding, crushed stone, and a concrete-encased duct bank. The project will be performed in phases to minimize electrical service disruptions and provide provisions for future redundant circuit configuration. Contractors will not procure the switchgear or transformers under this contract. This notice requests a statement of interest and capabilities statement rather than proposals under the forthcoming formal solicitation.
