Description
Northshore School District is seeking a combined general design-build contractor and experienced structural engineering design team to provide all services necessary to design, permit, construct, and close out a district-wide seismic retrofit project at occupied K-12 schools. The scope includes design development, cost estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, value engineering, permitting coordination, procurement, construction management, subcontract administration, quality and safety management, reporting, transparent cost controls, coordination with regulatory agencies, and project closeout. The team will also support applicable funding and incentive programs and deliver a complete project meeting the district's stakeholder requirements. The estimated total project value is approximately $50 million. This is a qualifications phase requiring a Statement of Qualifications rather than construction pricing or a fee proposal. The submission must address the design-build team, key personnel, relevant project experience, project approach, past performance involving OMWBE-certified business entities, and bonding capacity, including a statement from the bonding agent. The SOQ must be submitted as a single bookmarked PDF, with substantive content limited to eight numbered pages subject to the stated exclusions and formatting requirements.
