Description
The U.S. Air Force requires a firm-fixed-price contractor to repair water damage caused by a burst pipe in Building 223, Room 104. Work includes demolition and disposal of damaged flooring, concrete subfloor, carpet, linoleum, base, transitions, closet doors, and selected fixtures; replacement of the concrete subfloor with minimum 3,000-psi fiber-reinforced concrete; drywall repair, texturing, priming, and painting; replacement of the bedroom sink and vanity; bedroom door reinstallation and bathroom door adjustment; and reconfiguration of kitchen sink water-supply lines with an access panel. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, dust mitigation, cleanup, and waste disposal. The revised scope and Questions and Answers clarify that the wood subfloor will not be removed or repaired, the laundry-room ceiling repair and air-filter replacement are excluded, and the government will cover smoke heads during demolition. A contractor representative must be onsite whenever work is performed, and the work must be completed within 60 calendar days after award or acknowledgment of the Notice to Proceed. Award will use a lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation.
