Description
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is soliciting unit-price construction services for Contract PA2204 to rehabilitate sections of existing 20-inch and 24-inch reclaimed water pipes. The work includes removing and replacing pipe, installing 24-inch gate valves and HDPE access vaults, removing existing valves and concrete vaults, pavement and base removal and replacement, trench protection, traffic handling, erosion and sediment controls, access-road work, topsoil and sodding, and related restoration. Construction will occur outside the Airport Operations Area near Big Bear Creek, Highway 183, South Airfield Drive, and the South Control Plaza. The independent estimate is $1,489,874. The contract provides 210 calendar days for substantial completion and an additional 60 calendar days for final completion, for a total of 270 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. A 30% Small Business Enterprise goal applies; qualifying firms must have SBE+ certification and a place of business in the Airport's relevant market area. The bid package requires a bid bond, bid detail, bid schedule, conflict-of-interest and contracting-prohibitions forms, references and experience information, business disclosure, SBE participation forms, applicable SBE certificates, and good-faith-effort documentation when the goal is not met.
