Description

The Trinity River Authority of Texas is seeking a contractor to remove approximately 4,961 cubic yards of accumulated sediment from the Patrick's Ferry Boat Ramp basin. The work includes mechanical dredging, or one of two hydraulic dredging alternatives; transport and placement of dredged material; dewatering; debris removal; erosion and sediment controls; turbidity management; and restoration of disturbed areas. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, permits, and incidentals. Required work also includes pre- and post-dredge hydrographic or bathymetric surveys, stockpile management, environmental controls, temporary navigation markers, and repair of contractor-caused damage. The bid includes an optional contingency item for hauling material to an approved off-site location. Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience and three similar projects completed within the last five years. The contract term is 100 days after issuance of the purchase order and notice to proceed, with substantial completion required within 70 calendar days and final completion within an additional 30 calendar days.
