Description
The Borough seeks a contractor to replace an approximately 40-foot, 3/4-inch Type K copper water service line from the water main to the curb stop. Work includes insulation, replacement of the curb stop and box and thaw wire, reconnection to the existing property service, and coordination with utility staff for the water-main shutdown. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, permits, and utility locates. The contractor must remove and dispose of disturbed asphalt, backfill and compact the road base for winter maintenance, and complete asphalt restoration by June 2027. Water-line repair and temporary road restoration are due within 30 days of contract award; substantial completion is December 30, 2026, and final completion is June 30, 2027. A site visit is scheduled for October 27, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the work site. Bids are submitted through the MSB Procurement Portal. A bid guarantee of at least 5% of the total base bid is required for bids exceeding $100,000; payment and performance bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount, are required of the successful bidder when the bid exceeds $100,000.
