Description
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is seeking qualified contractors to repair the Port Mackenzie dock lighting system damaged by a barge collision. The scope includes replacing one missing light pole, its crushed mounting bracket, and associated electrical components at the catwalk between Dolphins 2 and 3, using materials matching existing materials where practicable. The contractor must demonstrate that the dock lighting system is fully operational, coordinate work with port operations, isolate and lock out power during work, and ensure berth lighting is on at the end of each shift. The specified light is a Killark VM4LC930S4GLG-VM4LC 120–277V fixture with a 1-1/4-inch straight stanchion mount, fluted globe, and guard. The addendum clarifies that only the damaged dock lighting system is within scope; catwalk and dolphin repairs are excluded. Work must be performed between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., with substantial completion by December 15, 2026, final completion by December 31, 2026, and a one-year warranty through December 31, 2027. The contractor must provide project management, quality control, scheduling, cleanup, required closeout documentation, and direct supervision of any subcontractors.
