The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for as-needed evidence impound towing, recovery, and secure storage services supporting its Monterey Area office. Services must be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and include responding to calls, safely recovering and transporting impounded vehicles, securing vehicles and their contents as evidence, maintaining storage inventories, and facilitating authorized inspections and releases. The contractor must operate an appropriately secured storage facility within the specified Monterey County service area, provide qualified personnel and compliant towing equipment, maintain required licenses and permits, and meet CHP requirements for driver training, vehicle inspections, security clearances, insurance, and business licensing. The bidder must perform at least 75% of the work and may subcontract no more than 25%. The anticipated agreement term is March 1, 2027, through February 28, 2030, with a budgetary limit of $150,000; payment will be based on actual services at the awarded rates.
