Description
Community Transit is seeking a vendor to provide custom metal fabrication, machining, design, and related fleet support services for bus-fleet projects. Example work includes custom oil cooler brackets, hose brackets, filter housing assemblies, mud flap brackets, fleet tools, fixtures, maintenance aids, and reproduction of existing fleet components. Services may include CAD drawings, cutting, forming, machining, welding, finishing, onsite measurement or clarification, delivery, and emergency or expedited fabrication when authorized. The vendor must fabricate according to approved drawings, specifications, samples, measurements, CAD files, photographs, and material requirements; provide vendor-developed drawings for approval before production; support inspections and possible first-article approval; and correct vendor-caused nonconforming work at no additional cost. Quotes must provide labor rates by service type, a per-delivery price, an expedited-service fee, and a material markup percentage. The contract has a two-year base term with three one-year renewal options, and estimated historical spending is approximately $30,000 annually, with no guaranteed quantity of work.
