Description

Oceana County is soliciting competitive proposals from organizations or groups addressing opioid prevention, harm reduction, treatment, recovery, substance use disorders, polysubstance use, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Proposed projects may develop, implement, enhance, or expand evidence-based strategies or promising practices serving people and communities in Oceana County. Priority areas include jail release programs, recovery support, transportation, and stigma reduction and community education. Allowable activities include naloxone and other overdose-reversal drugs, medication-assisted treatment, warm handoffs and recovery services, syringe service programs, prevention, treatment and connections to care, support for first responders, training, research, and planning or coordination. Applicants may request up to $100,000 per proposal for the January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, funding period. Indirect costs may not exceed 10 percent. Selected organizations must use funds for opioid remediation, supplement rather than supplant existing funding, provide agreed-upon program metrics, and submit quarterly progress reports and an annual report. The application requires organizational and project information, a project timeline, scope of work, success-measurement and sustainability plans, a budget and budget narrative, a project director resume or biography, and a completed budget template; partner support letters and other supporting materials are optional.
