Description
Jackson County Corrections is seeking a qualified transportation provider to furnish daily round-trip transportation for participants in its Work Release Program. Services include transportation between the corrections facility and approved employment locations, as well as scheduled medical, counseling, and court appointments, primarily within Jackson County. The provider must coordinate routes and schedule changes with Jackson County personnel and serve all participants except those whose employers provide transportation. The current requirement is approximately 60 participants per day, with anticipated expansion to more than 100 participants daily beginning in 2027. Proposals must include pricing for employment and appointment transportation, company experience, fleet capacity and scalability, driver screening and licensing procedures, PREA training and compliance, medical-certification procedures, payment processing for participant-funded and county-funded services, insurance documentation or an insurer commitment letter, and professional references. The selected vendor must maintain required liability and automobile insurance, support participant debit-card payments, and comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
