Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contract for weekly landscaping and groundskeeping services at the Arid Land Agricultural Research Center. The work covers approximately 20 acres, including about 75,000 square feet of desert landscaping and gravel areas, and requires a minimum two-person crew providing eight labor hours per week. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, supplies, and materials. Services include debris removal from sidewalks and parking lots, granite and hardscape maintenance, weed removal and control, twice-yearly property-wide pre-emergent treatment, irrigation-controller programming and seasonal adjustments, vegetation health monitoring, reporting of needed repairs, general pruning, and twice-yearly trimming of six large fan palms. The contractor must maintain a broom-clean site, haul away resulting debris, comply with applicable safety and horticultural standards, and provide a commercial license in accordance with the Statement of Work. The contract includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, for a total duration of up to five years. Award is anticipated to be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable quoter, and pricing must be provided for all line items.
