Description
The City of Atlanta, Department of Aviation (DOA), is initiating a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process to procure on-call general contractor services for facilities maintenance, repair, and minor construction. These services will support both airside and landside areas at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The selected vendor(s) will be responsible for providing multi-trade support, rapid-response services, and operationally sensitive maintenance to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with FAA Part 139 and TSA Part 1542 standards. The scope of work includes a wide range of services such as concrete, carpentry, demolition, electrical, plumbing, roofing, fencing, HVAC, painting, and asbestos abatement. The contractor must be available 24/7 for emergency repairs, mobilizing qualified crews and equipment within two hours of notification. Services will be compensated based on project-specific, fixed-price proposals, with labor rates, material costs, subcontractor costs, and equipment rates forming the basis of payment. An emergency response premium will be applied for urgent call-outs. Vendors must possess a valid Georgia General Contractor's License, demonstrate at least five years of experience in facilities maintenance and construction, and have proven experience working in secure airside or comparable high-security environments. Compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA and Georgia Asbestos Rules, is mandatory. The contractor must also demonstrate financial stability and the capacity to obtain required insurance coverages, including Commercial General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Automobile Liability, and Builder's Risk.
