Description
This project involves renovations and new construction for the Town Creek Indian Mound Visitor Center, encompassing approximately 7,644 heated square feet. The scope includes areas for reception and retail, a small auditorium, exhibit spaces, staff offices, mechanical and storage rooms, exterior bathrooms, and covered outdoor areas. The building is classified as Type V-B construction with an A-3 occupancy. Bids will be accepted for a single prime general contract on a lump sum basis. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 25th, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the project site (509 Town Creek Mound Rd., Mt. Gilead, NC 27306). Questions are due by July 15th, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with answers provided by July 16th, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Electronic plans and specifications are available at no charge via email request to staff@insitustudio.us, with printed copies available for a $600 deposit.
