Description
The San Diego County Water Authority seeks a contractor to replace approximately 2,070 square feet of existing tile roofing with a new standing seam metal roofing system at the Twin Oaks Flow Regulatory Structure. The work includes roof removal, deck inspection and authorized repairs, rigid coverboard and waterproofing underlayment installation, metal roofing, flashing, soffits, fascia, gutters, painting, site protection and restoration, debris removal, and provision of a portable restroom. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, and materials, and must provide a 40-year manufacturer roofing-material warranty and a five-year installation warranty. The bid requires a valid California Class C-39 roofing contractor license, at least five consecutive years of similar experience, three relevant references completed within the last five years, compliance with prevailing-wage and California Department of Industrial Relations requirements, and compliance with California Air Resources Board regulations. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit are required. The contract term is 180 days from the Notice to Proceed, and performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price, are required after award when the project is awarded at $25,000 or more.
