Description
Haysville Unified School District 261 is soliciting proposals for cable management and fiber infrastructure work across 42 MDF and IDF closets in 14 district buildings. The scope includes cleaning and organizing existing Cat5, Cat6, and fiber cabling; replacing racks and patch panels; reterminating and labeling cabling; installing wall plates and Cat6-rated jacks; reconnecting switches; testing cabling; documenting connections; and disposing of removed materials. The vendor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, testing, documentation, and disposal. The project also includes 15 new 12-strand OS2 single-mode fiber runs with LC connectors and fiber reterminations identified by building. Proposals must include detailed pricing for all 14 buildings, new fiber runs, and fiber reterminations, along with a separate itemized breakdown of materials and labor. Vendors must submit a letter of introduction, vendor profile, implementation timeline, at least three similar-project references from the past five years, optional value-added information, and a sample contract or agreement. A mandatory walkthrough is required, and the work is expected to be substantially completed during the district's summer break without disrupting normal network operations.
