Description
Escambia County Corrections is soliciting proposals for comprehensive onsite chronic dialysis services for inmate patients. The contractor must provide qualified registered nurses, nephrologist or other clinical oversight, dialysis technicians as applicable, dialysis machines, water-treatment systems, consumable supplies, medications, emergency supplies, setup and teardown, equipment maintenance and calibration, infection prevention, emergency response, patient assessment and treatment, medical-record documentation, quality assurance, and coordination with County corrections personnel. Services will generally be provided Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with capacity for an average of two simultaneous patients and urgent-response capability. The contractor must maintain required licenses and certifications, comply with healthcare and correctional-facility requirements, provide staffing and implementation plans, submit at least three comparable client references, and demonstrate the ability to commence full operations within 60 days after notification of award. The proposal package must include the required technical, personnel, cost, implementation, purchasing, certification, licensing, insurance, and reference materials. Historical dialysis statistics indicate an average of approximately 10 to 15 patients per month, with typical patients receiving treatment two to three times per week.
