Description
Mohawk Medbuy Corporation, on behalf of participating Canadian healthcare purchasers, is conducting a competitive procurement for the supply and delivery of hemodialysis access products and related accessories. The scope includes chronic and acute dialysis catheter kits, fistula and graft needles and cannulas, and dialysis connectors. Proponents may bid exact-match or substantially equivalent products and must provide pricing for the full breadth of products in each category bid. The procurement will establish purchaser-by-purchaser awards by category, with a 75% commitment for the primary vendor and 0–25% open share; no purchase volume is guaranteed. Suppliers must provide licensed medical devices, support product availability and delivery, and participate in potential clinical validation activities, including providing samples, pre-validation training, and on-site validation support. The agreement is anticipated to run for three years with one optional two-year extension. A minimum 3% distribution allowance is required for shipments to centralized warehouses, and a non-contingent rebate of at least 5% is encouraged for committed-volume awards. The RFP also requires declarations and responses concerning business criteria, conflicts of interest, U.S. business status, latex-free product availability, regulatory compliance, references, and value-added benefits.
