Description
Summit County, Utah is soliciting sealed proposals for the hauling of approximately 3,000 to 6,000 tons of Redmond Salts and/or Morton Salt. The salt will be picked up from Redmond Minerals in Redmond, Utah and Morton Salt in Grantsville, Utah, and delivered to the Summit County Public Works Department at 1755 South Hoytsville Road, Wanship, Utah. The contract period is approximately October 15, 2026 to April 15, 2028, covering two winter seasons. The successful bidder must have sufficient equipment to deliver a minimum of 250 tons from Redmond Minerals and must be able to deliver the required quantity of salt within 24 hours of notification. Bids must be submitted on company letterhead, identify the cost per ton delivered, and be signed by an authorized agent. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a contract using the Summit County Standard Materials and Services Agreement and must submit a certificate of insurance with the contract.
