Description
The City of Seattle is soliciting bids to expand a pool of vendors for two scopes: roadway construction materials, asphalt materials, and construction debris disposal; and cementitious materials. Requested products include mineral aggregates, asphalt emulsions and hot-mix asphalt, concrete and controlled-density fill, fluidized thermal backfill, joint and crack sealing materials, and related disposal services. Cementitious materials may be picked up by the City or delivered by the vendor, with delivery and hauling services required for specified City job sites. Bidders may submit pricing for any combination of line items, and awards may be made by individual line item to multiple vendors. The resulting contracts will support City departments and may be used for routine operations and emergencies; usage is not guaranteed. A 3% rebate is required from successful vendors. The contract term is one year, with six one-year extensions at the City's option. Vendors delivering cementitious materials must have employees with Class A or Class B commercial driver's licenses with air-brake endorsements. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the City's procurement portal and includes mandatory portal questionnaires and uploaded bid materials.
