Description
The Chicago Transit Authority is soliciting proposals to purchase and redevelop approximately 0.31 acres comprising portions of 3401–3427 North Clark Street and 947–949 West Newport Avenue in Chicago. The property includes the vacant historic Vautravers Building and is intended for a mixed-use, transit-oriented development with residential and commercial uses. Proposals should address development scope, site and building programs, zoning, historic preservation, affordable housing, sustainability, community benefits, transit-oriented development goals, and any proposed use of adjacent space beneath the elevated rail structure. The solicitation requires a technical proposal, financial proposal, and CTA certifications, forms, and disclosures. Required materials include development and project narratives, qualifications and similar-project experience, financial information, resumes, references, preliminary plans and pro forma information, and completed CTA forms and appendices. The property is offered as-is, with environmental due diligence and any required zoning, historic-preservation, environmental, and other approvals the responsibility of the proposer.
