Description
Cheboygan Area Schools is soliciting sealed bids for a security door project at Cheboygan Area High School. Bids must be submitted to the Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education Office, 7461 North Straits Highway, Cheboygan, Michigan 49721, by 11:00 a.m. local time on Monday, June 29, 2026. Bids received after this deadline will not be accepted. Bids must be clearly labeled "SECURITY DOOR PROJECT" on the exterior package. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 a.m. on the same date. Bidding details and specifications can be obtained from Steve Fleming, Cheboygan Area Schools Transportation, Maintenance, and Grounds Manager, via email at flemings@chebschools.com or by phone at 231-627-4422. An optional pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Cheboygan Area High School, 801 W Lincoln Avenue, Cheboygan, Michigan 49721. All bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship between the bidder's owner/employee and any member of the Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education or the Superintendent. Additionally, in compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, all bids must include a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance. A bid security of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Cheboygan Area Schools, in the form of a certified bank check or bid bond, is required with all bids. Cheboygan Area Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
