This project involves the removal of an existing culvert and the installation of a new 64-inch wide by 43-inch tall corrugated steel pipe arch culvert at Site 2 within the Munuscong State Wildlife Management Area in Chippewa County, Michigan. The work includes site preparation, installation of silt fence, excavation and removal of the existing culvert, placement and compaction of fill, and stabilization around the culvert ends and slopes with geotextile fabric and rock riprap. The contractor is responsible for supplying all materials, equipment, and labor. This includes providing fill, silt fence, geotextile fabric, and rock riprap. Water management, such as pumping if needed to prevent flooding, is also the contractor's responsibility. Any excess fill or grading of the road/trail will be handled by the contractor as deemed suitable by the DNR staff. The contractor must also develop and present a soil erosion and sedimentation control plan for review and approval by DNR staff prior to commencing work. Work completion is expected by September 30, 2026, with invoices due to the DNR by October 6, 2026.
