Description
The City of Sherwood, through Sherwood Broadband, is seeking qualified, licensed, and insured contractors to perform aerial communication pole attachment and cable work, routine pole inspections and maintenance, emergency call-out response, fiber optic installation and fusion splicing, and identification and remediation of NESC, joint-use attachment, clearance, unauthorized attachment, overlashing, and pole-loading violations. Work includes furnishing labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, traffic control, documentation, GIS-compatible records, and restoration of disturbed surfaces. The contractor must provide 24/7/365 emergency response, with dispatch confirmation within two hours and on-site arrival within four hours for specified emergencies. Fiber work includes OTDR and power-meter testing, splice documentation, and use of certified technicians. The annual contract may not exceed $50,000 per year and runs from November 16, 2026, through October 31, 2027, with four additional one-year extensions available by mutual agreement, for a maximum term of five years.
