Description
Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury, coordinating with the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff, is soliciting proposals from qualified correctional healthcare providers to furnish comprehensive healthcare services for inmates at the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail. The scope includes professional medical, mental health, pharmaceutical, telemedicine, administrative, and related services necessary to provide constitutionally adequate inmate healthcare. Proposals will be evaluated on qualifications, correctional healthcare experience, staffing plan, operational approach, quality assurance program, implementation strategy, and price. The selected contractor must maintain all licenses, permits, registrations, certifications, and authorizations required for correctional healthcare, medical and nursing practice, pharmacy, mental health, telemedicine, and related operations. Required insurance includes professional liability, commercial general liability, workers’ compensation, and cyber liability; a bid bond is required if the proposal exceeds $50,000. The solicitation also requires compliance with Louisiana’s E-Verify requirements and an affidavit from the selected contractor and subcontractors.
