The City of Lake Charles is soliciting bids for the purchase, installation, removal, storage, and warranty support of downtown light-pole holiday decorations for the Recreation and Parks Department. The base bid requires 97 five-foot, double-sided green wreaths with warm-white LED lights and shatterproof ornaments; 194 four-foot, double-sided red three-dimensional bows with red LED lights; and 291 nine-foot, double-width green garlands with warm-white LED lights and shatterproof ornaments. Decorations must include UV protection and galvanized black mounting frames secured with metal strap clamps without damaging the poles. The contractor must install and make all decorations fully functional by November 26, 2026, remove them after the holiday season, and provide secure weatherproof storage for one year. A one-year warranty covering damage, wear, broken lights, and ornaments is required. The solicitation also includes an optional one-year service contract, renewable annually, covering subsequent installation, removal, storage, and warranty services. Bidders must submit detailed design drawings with dimensions, comply with the supplied bid forms, and provide a five-percent bid bond based on the base bid.
