Description
North Davis Sewer District seeks a contractor to transport dewatered Class B biosolids from its wastewater treatment facility to a district-owned agricultural site. The scope includes providing trucks, trailers, drivers, permits, insurance, and supervision; coordinating schedules with District staff; unloading at designated staging areas; documenting loads; and preventing and responding to spills. The District estimates approximately 16,000 wet tons annually, with hauling typically occurring March through October, but does not guarantee a minimum or maximum quantity. The contractor must be able to begin hauling within 30 business days after notice that a batch is certified for field application and sustain a rate of at least 125 wet tons per day until that batch is removed. Proposals must include company information, qualifications and experience, equipment inventory, safety information, references, pricing, exceptions, a work plan, evidence of ability to meet the insurance requirements, and acknowledgment of any addenda. Pricing is requested per wet ton, with any minimum-load charge, additional charges, and fuel-surcharge methodology identified. The initial contract term is three years, with up to two mutually agreed three-year extensions. The selected contractor must maintain specified commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, employer’s liability, and umbrella or excess coverage; certificates are due before contract execution.
