Description
This Stage I request for proposals seeks construction services for selective remodeling and a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrade to a hybrid variable-refrigerant-flow system at Weber State University's Student Services Building. The work includes approximately 52,925 square feet of mechanical-system upgrades, electrical and lighting upgrades, ceiling and paint work, finish refreshes, and remodeling of designated counseling, registrar, cashier, office, break-room, storage, and open-office areas. The project also includes selective demolition, fire sprinkler modifications, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, controls, finishes, and related construction work. The estimated construction cost is $5,400,000, and substantial completion is required before August 20, 2027. The solicitation is a mandatory-meeting, multistage procurement: only contractors shortlisted in Stage I may participate in the subsequent Stage II invitation to bid.
