Description
Springfield Public Schools is soliciting bids for annual and semiannual inspection and testing of fire protection systems across district schools, administrative buildings, transportation facilities, and other properties. The scope includes clean-agent, K-class, dry-chemical, cartridge, and stored-pressure fire extinguishers; wet and dry sprinkler systems; control valves; fire department connections; post-indicator valves; hydrants; standpipes; antifreeze loops; fire panels; hood suppression systems; FM-200 or Halon systems; special-hazard systems; pull stations; and related components. The solicitation also requests hourly labor pricing for repairs to identified deficiencies and allows the District to add or remove buildings or services as needed. The resulting non-exclusive contract will have a one-year initial term with up to four additional one-year renewal periods. Bidders must provide service descriptions, company information, organizational references, local-government experience, workforce information, business hours, emergency-response provisions, website and representative information, and required compliance acknowledgments and forms. Addendum 1 provides fields for different labor charges and service or repair fees; bidders must also account for required compliance-engine reporting fees in their pricing or identify applicable additional fees. Required insurance includes general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, employers' liability, and contractors pollution liability where applicable.
