Description
Franklin County is soliciting proposals from qualified fire apparatus manufacturers and authorized dealers for one fire engine/pumper apparatus. The unit may be new or a demonstrator, must be model year 2024 or newer, and a demonstrator must have fewer than 5,000 miles at delivery. Minimum requirements include a 750-gallon water tank, 1,500 GPM fire pump, 450-horsepower diesel engine, seating for at least six firefighters, officer-side ladder storage, automatic transmission, applicable emissions compliance, and delivery within 90 days or less of purchase or order. The proposal must address service and support, including a brick-and-mortar service center within 75 miles of the issuing agency's primary fire station or location and available mobile service. The apparatus must include at least a three-year warranty, with warranty coverage identified for major components. Vendors must provide a firm total purchase price, identify any exceptions or deviations, and include applicable manufacturer, pump, warranty, demonstrator or stock-unit, and equipment documentation as required. Proposals that fail to meet mandatory minimum requirements may be rejected.
