Description
The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting sixteen Type 3 fire engines in a body-only configuration for installation on Government-furnished 4x2 and 4x4 cab and chassis. The scope includes chassis modification and preparation, body installation, fire pumps, 600-gallon water tanks, warning lights, required graphics, and all components necessary to deliver complete operational units. The apparatus must meet Forest Service national standard specifications, including NFPA 1900 unless otherwise specified. The proposal must include delivery of each unit and on-site familiarization training. Vendors must demonstrate their capability to produce apparatus meeting the Forest Service's requirements, summarized in executive form.
