Description
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is soliciting bids for a master agreement covering fire suppression system services at Deuel Vocational Institution. The scope includes preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, certification, repair, and emergency services for fire sprinkler and standpipe systems, kitchen hood systems, fire alarm panels and components, fire pumps, fire hydrants, roll-down fire doors, hydrostatic testing, and related equipment. Services include five-year testing and certification, annual and semi-annual maintenance, as-needed repairs, parts replacement, system design and State Fire Marshal approval when required, and service documentation. The contractor must provide qualified and licensed technicians, including either factory-trained personnel or technicians with at least three consecutive years of relevant experience supported by three reference letters. The contractor must hold the required California licensing, including a C-16 Fire Protection Contractor specialty license or a B General Building Contractor license with a properly licensed C-16 subcontractor. The agreement permits subcontractors with prior approval. Rates must be submitted for all rate-sheet items, and the State provides no guarantee of service volume.
