Description
The City of Anaheim Fire & Rescue Department is seeking qualified consulting firms to provide professional fire services staffing on an as-needed, project-by-project basis. Required services include reviewing construction plans and calculations for compliance with applicable California Building Code, California Fire Code, NFPA standards, Anaheim amendments, and other regulations; preparing plan-check corrections; reviewing deferred submittals and revisions; communicating with applicants and design professionals; and researching related permits. The scope also includes fire and life-safety inspections for construction projects, inspection of building, fire, and mechanical systems, participation in job-site conferences, documentation of noncompliance, follow-up inspections, and related records. Proposers may offer enhanced services such as after-hours coverage, regular construction-site services, and expedited plan reviews. Individuals performing the work must hold applicable ICC and/or California certifications. The agreement is expected to have a five-year initial term with one possible one-year extension, and compensation will be based on submitted fixed-fee and hourly-rate structures subject to stated fee caps.
