Description
Transport Canada is soliciting a contractor to administer, operate, maintain, and provide safety and security services for Iles-de-la-Madeleine Airport. The scope covers runways, taxiways, aprons, access roads, parking areas, terminal and maintenance buildings, heavy equipment, vehicles, mechanical and electrical systems, airport lighting, drainage, grounds, cleaning, waste removal, wildlife management, emergency response, regulatory compliance, and public-parking operations. Services must support commercial, private, charter, and medical-evacuation flights, including winter snow and ice removal and after-hours response. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, including an airport manager, maintenance and heavy-equipment operators, and a security resource. The proposal must include a summer and winter work plan, staffing information and resumes, airport-experience examples and references, technical and financial bids, required certifications, security-registration documentation, and additional bidder information. Personnel requiring access to protected information, assets, or sensitive work sites must hold Reliability Status before contract award. The contract period is April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2028, with two additional one-year options; unplanned major repairs exceeding $5,000 may be authorized separately up to $50,000 per contract period.
