Description
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is seeking a consulting team to provide full professional engineering services supporting the planned rehabilitation of Runway 10/28 at Niagara Falls International Airport. The scope includes investigations, surveying, geotechnical and pavement evaluation, project management and phasing, civil and airfield design, aviation electrical systems, contract-document development, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement support, permitting, commissioning, and construction administration. Firms must demonstrate experience with complex runway projects at active commercial-service airports, including FAA advisory circulars and technical specifications, airport pavement and drainage design, aircraft operational analyses, temporary displaced-threshold operations, Aeronautical Airspace Review applications, Construction Safety and Phasing Plans, OGS code-compliance review, and Modifications of Standards. The consultant must perform at least 50% of the work with its own forces. The stated period of performance is 305 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
