Description
Muscatine Power and Water is soliciting a general contractor for balance-of-plant work for a combined heat and power plant. The scope includes erection of owner-furnished equipment; drilled piers; building slabs, equipment pads, and other foundations; excavation, concrete, testing, and backfill; structural steel and associated supports, decking, grating, guardrails, and ladders; structural steel connection design; and elevated concrete floor slabs. The bid documents request contractor qualifications and experience, references, a safety plan and EMR, a quality plan, Inflation Reduction Act narratives addressing prevailing wage, apprenticeship, and domestic content, subcontractor and specialist qualifications, a preliminary construction schedule with estimated manpower, equipment vendor data, present commitments, a sealed bid form, and bid security. Bids must be submitted electronically through Ion Wave.
