Description
The University of Maine System is soliciting bids from fuel distributors to supply #6.5 residual oil to University of Maine at Orono locations. The primary delivery location identified in the bid form is the Steam Plant on College Avenue in Orono, Maine, with approximate usage of 7,500 barrels per year and a 130,000-gallon above-ground tank. The oil is not the primary fuel source and will be purchased only as needed. Bidders must provide a spot-market price adder per barrel, identify the applicable market index and settlement price, and include all storage, delivery, insurance, bonding, environmental, NORA, LUST, and other charges. The contract term is up to two years with three one-year renewal options, beginning February 1, 2027. Deliveries must comply with applicable transportation and environmental requirements, generally occur between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and may require weekend tanker deliveries. The submission must use the supplier bid form and include a signed bidder form, written occupational/workplace and environmental safety plans, and a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures Plan before performance.
