The Maine Air National Guard intends to award a single firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a new 42,374-square-foot Fuel Cell Hangar at Bangor Air National Guard Base. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, transportation, tools, equipment, appliances, supervision, and other resources necessary to complete the work in accordance with the project drawings and specifications. The scope includes an additive bid item for satellite parking and specified compatible building components, including locks, fire alarm systems, direct digital controls, acoustical ceiling tiles, and paint or approved equals. The anticipated period of performance is 670 calendar days after notice to proceed, including inspection and punch-list activities. The procurement is unrestricted and has an estimated construction magnitude of $25 million to $100 million. A Small Business Subcontracting Plan will be required from any large-business bidder, and a HUBZone price-evaluation preference will apply. The solicitation is expected to be issued as an Invitation for Bids, with final submission requirements and dates to be provided in the solicitation.
