Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quotation from a small business to demolish the existing storage building and construct a replacement at the Lone Mountain Tree Improvement Area. The work includes removal and disposal of the existing building, slab, and foundations; excavation and site preparation; stump removal; compacted fill; concrete foundations, frost walls, stoops, and an approximately 2,400-square-foot floor slab; and construction of a 2,400-square-foot, four-bay, pre-engineered metal building measuring approximately 40 by 60 feet. The contractor must furnish and install the complete building, including the rigid-frame structure, single-slope roof, standing-seam roof panels, wall panels, trim, fascia, soffit, framing, four 12-by-12-foot overhead doors with chain hoists and safety-edge controls, and two lockable hollow-metal exterior doors with frames and hardware. The contractor is responsible for construction testing, utilities and facilities needed for the work, daily debris removal, final cleanup, road repairs caused by construction, and PE-certified shop drawings within 30 days after award. All work must be complete and ready for use by August 1, 2027. Quotations must include pricing for all schedule items, a recent and relevant experience and past-performance narrative, a 20% bid bond, and acknowledgment of amendments if applicable.
