Description
The Town of Seymour, the Seymour Public School District, and the Bungay Elementary School Building Committee are requesting qualifications and fee proposals from firms to serve as construction manager-at-risk for construction of a new Bungay Elementary School and grounds, demolition of the existing school building, and project closeout. The scope includes preconstruction services, cost estimating, trade-contract bidding and negotiation, construction-phase services, and service as the project's constructor under a guaranteed maximum price arrangement. Firms must be pre-qualified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services under the Construction Manager At Risk Group B or C classification. The project is expected to receive partial funding through Connecticut's school construction grant program and is subject to prevailing-wage and state contract-compliance requirements. A mandatory project-site walkthrough is required for interested proposers. Sealed qualifications and fee proposals must be submitted by mail or hand delivery; email and facsimile submissions are not accepted.
