Description
The City of Wichita is extending its existing contract with Allmetal Recycling, LLC for the purchase and recycling of assorted scrap metal generated by the City. Covered materials include heavy breakable cast iron, up steel, No. 1 and No. 2 copper dealer scrap, aluminum, aluminum breakage, clean heavy yellow brass, No. 2 heavy melt/mixed metals, and stainless steel breakage. Prices are fixed for some materials and tied to published American Metal Market prices for others. The extension covers a seven-month period from March 1, 2026, through September 30, 2026, under the existing quote and specifications. The contract may be canceled by the City upon 30 days' written notice. The document also requires the contractor to provide a current certificate of insurance naming the City of Wichita as certificate holder and additional insured, and requires the contractor's president or corporate officer to sign the extension.
