The City of Glendale is soliciting a quote for one new 2027 Freightliner M2 112 Plus Class 7 regular-cab chassis configured with a 33,000-pound GVWR, Cummins L9N natural-gas engine, Allison 3000 RDS automatic transmission, and California-compliant emissions and registration. The vehicle must include a 120-by-96-inch heavy-duty steel flatbed, 48-inch headboard, tie-down equipment, two underbody toolboxes, trailer connections, lighting, backup-camera equipment, warning light systems, and other specified chassis, safety, braking, suspension, and cab features. The quote must be completed on the provided specification form and include delivery, lead time, payment terms, and warranty information. Vendors offering an equal item must provide a supporting specification sheet, and vendors must be authorized dealers of the manufacturers. The complete unit must be delivered with manuals, warranty documentation, required equipment, and government-use registration plates; the solicitation specifies a minimum three-year/36,000-mile warranty and a minimum two-year engine warranty.
