Description
The City of Lansing is soliciting a lump-sum bid for demolition and complete removal of the structure and accessory structures at 2112 North High Street. The scope includes removal of buildings, driveways, garage pads, trash, brush, foundations, and other non-public paved areas; utility disconnections and sewer and water line capping; required permits; protection of adjacent property and public infrastructure; and disposal of demolition materials at an approved landfill. Bidders must include landfill, utility, hazardous-material abatement, erosion-control, engineered-fill, permit, and related costs. After demolition, the contractor must fill the entire lot to match adjacent grades, provide engineered fill where required, install topsoil, grade the site, and seed and mulch the property. The contractor must complete demolition and establish a safe site within 30 days after purchase-order release, with grading and seeding completed within 30 days of demolition unless otherwise approved. The package requires a City of Lansing demolition license, City of Lansing building-wrecker license information, Michigan residential-builder or residential-maintenance-and-alteration licensure, proof of insurance, and the completed proposal and certification forms. The asbestos survey reports no hazardous asbestos-containing materials above 1%, but identifies tan floor tile containing trace or 0.25% chrysotile and other hazardous materials, including vehicles and a pop-up camper, that may require special handling.
